The True Horrors of Halloween
Let’s talk about where and when this holiday came about.
From about 1500 B.C. the Druids in Western Europe taught that on Halloween, ghosts,
spirits, fairies, witches and elves came out to harm people. They had an autumn
festival called “Samhain” which marked the end of summer. It was a fertility festival
thanking the demons for the crops that year. During the night, black masses were
conducted. The customs of using leaves, pumpkins and cornstalks as Halloween
decorations comes from the Druid festival.
These Druids were much feared and was a sect of priests, both male and female.
People were used as sacrifices and were flogged, tortured and sexually molested
before they were killed by having their hearts torn out while they were still alive!
Sometimes they were skinned and this skin was used in different rites.
In 700 A.D. the Roman Catholic Church made November 1, “All Saints Day” and the
old pagan customs and the Christian feast day were combined into the Halloween
festival because the people refused to leave the old customs! The practice of
carrying a pumpkin that had been cleaned out and a candle placed inside, was made
to represent a soul trapped in purgatory.
No matter what you think of Halloween, know that it is the very highest Satanic
holy day. As a Christian, you should not be observing it in any way!
The whole theme of the present day Halloween is death, fear, threats, destruction
and evil. There are witches, broomsticks, bats, owls, ghosts, skeletons and monsters.
You dress up your children and send them into the streets in the darkness to reenact
the Druid’s practice of demanding food (candy) from people under threat of tricks or
curses if they don’t comply. Also, there will be apple bobbing, divination, fortune
telling, haunted houses, candles lit and spirits called up.
You say, ” Well, we don’t take it seriously.”. But the devil does and so does God!
How all of this must grieve the Lord!
Scriptural References: Hosea 4:6, Ezekiel 44:23, Deuteronomy 18:9-14, 7:25-26,
James 1:27, 2 Corinthians 6:14, 1 Corinthians 10:19-23, 1 Thessalonians 5:21-23,
2 Corinthians 6:17-18 is very clear! So come out from unbelievers and be separate,
says the Lord, and do NOT touch what is unclean; and I will graciously receive you
and welcome you, And I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.
Beloved, let us teach our children as God instructs us to in Deuteronomy 6: 5-7
because we are to love God with all our hearts, strength and minds. It is ludicrous
to think for even one minute that we can serve more than one God!
